RECOMMEND

Injection molding screw wear can gradually reduce plasticizing efficiency and affect product quality. It is especially common when processing glass fiber, recycled plastics or mineral-filled materials.

Typical signs include longer plasticizing time, unstable injection volume, lower melt pressure, material backflow and increased screw-to-barrel clearance. Continuing production with a severely worn screw may increase cycle time and energy consumption.

When replacing an injection molding screw barrel, the screw design and material should match the resin, machine model and operating conditions. Bimetallic and wear-resistant alloy solutions are suitable for abrasive applications.

Need a replacement screw barrel? Send us your injection molding machine model, screw diameter, material, photos and drawing. We can manufacture according to your dimensions and processing requirements.
